DO YOU REMAIN A FAILURE IN SPITE OF STRIVING HARD FOR SUCCESS?

WHAT CAN YOU DO NOW?

Often times it so happens that some of us try very hard to get success in life. They are honest, hard-working and capable. Despite having everything that is needed to get success, they don't get success. On the other hand, we come across people who are not worthy to get success in life and yet they turn out to be extremely successful, and their success comes in such unexpected and unimaginable ways that we get surprised about it. Why this happens? To deserving people who have failed in life, I have something to say here. 

First of all, you need to know that:

Success is awaiting you somewhere

You deserve success

Your definitions of success and failure are not wrong. This is extremely important

What you want to achieve is worth achieving

There is no short-cut to success

There is no point in becoming a defeatist

It will harm you more than help you if you envy others for their success

It is not necessary that success comes by your efforts only

There is GOD of Israel who is capable of giving you success if HE is pleased with your ways

The most important of all is that you believe in JESUS. Here I would like to direct your attention to the success received by the disciples of JESUS, namely, Peter, Thomas, Nathanael, the sons of Zebedee and two others.

These were experienced fishermen. At night they went out into the Sea of Galilee to catch fish. They strove for the whole night and got nothing. But when it was early morning, JESUS appeared to His disciples for the third time after rising from death, and asked them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat.

Please note that HIS appearance was different from the one that they identified HIM by. Therefore, they could not find out that it was JESUS who was talking to them. Important thing is that they didn't argue. They just obeyed HIM and did what HE asked them to. The result is that they caught so many fishes that their net could not contain them. It was then that one of HIS disciples realized that HE was JESUS. And when they reached ashore, lo, the food was already there for them! It was prepared for them by their LORD!

This miracle happened at the time when the disciples were extremely depressed because of the death of JESUS. They had set their stores on HIM! They had left everything, left all, and followed HIM like HIS shadow. And now HE wasn’t there!

It was like the end of the world for them. There was such a void in their life that nothing else could fill it. They were trying in vain to return to their old way of life – returning to fishing and all that. It was when JESUS came to life again and when HE met them, they learned that their hope was not a dupe. JESUS now renewed their hope and reminded them of their real mission in life, that is, the mission to save the souls of men for HIM instead of catching fish. They were not to worry about food and all that; because their GOD was there to look after these needs. What was important for them was to fulfill the mission of preaching the Good News of JESUS to the world.

As we all know, the twelve disciples went out into the world and preached the message of JESUS to the world with the result that they were able to conquer the whole world for their LORD. The great empires of the world have fallen but the empire they built for JESUS is standing still in spite of the persecution and opposition it suffered right from the beginning.

All the twelve disciples of JESUS were killed in different parts of the world in the same way that their LORD was. But the empire they have built is right before us. Death does not take away a bit from their success; because their success lies in the right place - in the heavenly kingdom.

Let me quote two verses from Proverbs 16 to make my point:

"To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the proper answer of the tongue."

In other words, man proposes, GOD disposes. And the second verse is, "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and HE will establish your plans."

Finally, I would like to end this post with what JESUS Himself said in Matthew 12:30:

“He who is not with ME is against ME, and he who does not gather with ME scatters abroad.”
