Dear Friends,
In pursuance of the channel of communication that I
have opened with you, I am writing this letter to you. It has a purpose of
life.
To begin with….What is life? People define life
subjectively. They search life in one or the other thing. But let me tell you
what Bible says about life. JESUS, as He was reaching the end of His life and
was about to return to GOD the FATHER in Heaven, said this about life:
“And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the
only true GOD, and JESUS CHRIST whom YOU have sent.” (John 17:3)
People do not really know what they would get if they
know GOD. So, they do not care to search for GOD and try to find Him…know Him. One
major reason why they do not know that they need GOD is that they do not know
their own spirit.
Yes! If you believe that you have spirit, not just
body, and somebody asks you to prove that you have spirit, then you will have
to fumble for the right answer. Often the answer you give to the questioner
will not convince even your own self. That explains the reason why you fail to
know what your own spirit needs. You know only about what your body needs. Because
the needs of your body are immediate.
When you are hungry, you need food. When you are
thirsty, you need drink. When you feel the heat of the day, you need AC. When you
feel cold, you need heater. You know all too well what you gain if you satisfy
your body. You know what you gain if you get wealth, power and carnal pleasure.
It is time for you to know that you are not satisfied
with all that you gave your body. Eat best food. Yet you will be hungry again.
Eat what you like most for two, three, or four times in a row, and I bet that
you would not like to have it for the fifth time. You want a different taste.
Wear best cloths. The experience remains the same as it
was with your choice of food. They grow old sooner than your body that you want
to dress with. Then, slowly, slowly, your body too gets worn out in the same
way that your cloths do. Body gets weaker and weaker till it reaches the time
when the desires which spring from it also grow weak. At last, our desires die
before we die.
Our body has its limits. If you are hungry, and are in
the habit of doing overeating whenever you eat what you like, then too you
cannot eat beyond certain limit. Simple! So, it is a foregone conclusion that
no matter what you do for your body, somewhere deep within you, there will
remain discontent.
You know that very often you try to remove your dissatisfaction
but you do not succeed. Why you are not able to remove that dissatisfaction?
Believe me, if you would, that you are not able to remove that dissatisfaction
because you do not actually know what is the source – the root – of your
discontent. Again, believe me, if you can, that the source of that discontent
lies in the fact that your spirit is starving.
Yes! You spirit is starving. But you are so focused on your
body and the world and its pleasing distractions, that you are unmindful of the
needs of your spirit. You do not even know what your spirit needs! Your body
will die one day; your spirit will live forever. Yet you do nothing for your
spirit! Strange, isn’t it?
You do nothing for your spirit, because you are not
able to understand and know what your spirit needs. That is the reason why you
are not able to give anything to your spirit. Would you like to know what your
spirit needs? He (your spirit) wants to spend eternity in happiness. The
happiness he needs exists not in this world but in Heaven. This happiness
exists in Heaven only because it is in Heaven that God lives. Heaven is a happy
place because of God. And you can never enter Heaven without being related to
Him.
You do not visit people whom you do not know. You visit
people you know. You visit people because you care for them and they care for
you. There is a relationship between them and you. The same principle applies
here – in spiritual realm. Your spirit wants to establish that relationship
with GOD. In absence of this relationship, he does not get what it should from GOD.
Only GOD can give your spirit what he needs. As a result, he just suffers his
starvation silently till he starves to death!
Am I contradicting myself here? I said before that
spirit lives forever; and, now, I am talking about death of the spirit! Let me
explain. The death of the spirit, according to Bible, means living forever in
Hell. The spirit that does not go to Heaven, goes to Hell.
You may not know but your spirit does know what is awaiting
him in future. The fate of your spirit is sealed on the day that you die and
finish your life in this world. It is in your hand to ensure where your spirit
will spend his eternity. Your spirit is your real self, not your body; because,
as I said earlier, your body will perish the day you die.
Therefore, you have a reason enough to care for your
spirit. If you want, he will live forever in perfect joy and peace in Heaven
with GOD. If you want, he will live forever in eternal and unimaginable
unhappiness and torment in Hell. You have two choices before you to make.
Depending on your choice, your spirit will have Heaven or Hell. It is in your
power to reject GOD or accept Him. If you reject GOD, you break your ties with
Him. In other words, you have opted out of Heaven.
Do you think you can suffer eternity in Hell? Even
temporary sufferings and failures you are not able to suffer on earth, then how
can you suffer unimaginable torments in Hell for eternity? Dear Friends, I
beseech you not to be so hard with your own self. Make the right decision when
you are still alive on earth. Dead people cannot make decision. Therefore, make
it now when you are still alive.
It is GOD’s will that you choose life, not death. In
the Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 30, Verses 19-20, from the Bible, GOD’s will
is recorded thus:
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against
you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore
choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the
LORD your GOD, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for
He is your life and the length of your days…”
GOD of the Bible has clearly revealed through the above
statement that He wants you to choose life. However, it is up to you to choose
life. Nobody can give you life if you yourself do not want it. Life does not
mean living for 100 years. Because after 100 years, death is sure to come. Life
does not mean big house, much wealth, best choice of food and clothes, sex,
etc. It is a lot more than that. To be more specific, it is accepting JESUS as
your personal Savior.
This is what JESUS prayed to GOD the FATHER in this
respect as He was approaching the end of His mission on earth:
“FATHER, the hour has come. Glorify Your SON, that Your
SON also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that
He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.”
My Dear Friends, JESUS is having authority over all
flesh – whole mankind. He would not like anyone to perish. He loves you. He
wants you to stay forever with Him in Heaven. Will you help yourself by
accepting GOD’s will for your life? Please do.
